XIAO 1.47" IPS Touch Display at a glance
The flagship of the three XIAO display boards: a JD9853A 172 x 320 IPS panel with a capacitive touch layer and a microSD slot, on a carrier with a pre-soldered XIAO nRF52840 Plus, two user buttons (USR1 on D19, USR2 on D15), a 6-axis IMU and a battery connector. A click on the glass is a finger on the touch controller; the card holds your project's files plus whatever you add through the board's SD Card panel.

What you can do with the XIAO 1.47" IPS Touch Display simulator
The board on the canvas is the real thing as far as your code is concerned: the same pins, the same buses, the same peripherals, wired to the same 100+ sensors, displays and actuators every other Velxio board talks to.
Display rendered live
The glass is the emulated panel controller's frame memory: whatever the sketch draws over SPI shows on the board art at the real resolution, frame by frame.
Touch
A click on the glass is a finger on the touch controller; taps, drags and swipes reach the sketch through the same I2C traffic the real panel produces.
microSD slot
The card is a real FAT image, filled with your workspace files automatically; load your own files from the SD Card panel and read them back from the sketch.
Clickable buttons
The on-board buttons are clickable on the canvas and read on their real GPIOs, active-low as on the hardware.
Live 6-axis IMU
Press Sensors on the canvas toolbar and drag the Tilt pad: the part reports that gravity at its real I2C address, and your orientation code reacts.
Battery
Set the battery level from the Sensors popover; the fuel gauge and the power-management chip answer the way the board's firmware expects.
Arduino C++ sketches
Write a sketch in the Monaco editor with library completion, compile it against the board's own Arduino core and run the real firmware binary. The Serial Monitor is the USB port.
What is not emulated
The radio (Bluetooth, Zigbee, Thread or WiFi, depending on the chip) is not modelled. Everything wired to the pins is; the wireless part of a project stays on the bench.

XIAO 1.47" Touch Display: GraphicTestSeeed's screen test on the biggest of the three panels: 172x320 through a JD9853A, ten primitives timed and printed. Nothing is wired - the panel is on the board.
XIAO 1.47" Touch Display: Touch CircleSeeed's touch demo: the AXS5106L capacitive controller on I2C 0x63, its interrupt on D7, sharing the LCD's reset line - which is why the touch object is built with RST = -1, the display having already released it. Draw on the glass with the mouse; the bar at the bottom clears it.
XIAO 1.47" Touch Display: read text off the microSDSeeed's card demo: it scans the card root for TXT, LOG and CSV files and paginates each one on the panel. The card and the LCD share one SPI bus behind their own chip selects - LCD on D2, card on D6 - which is what the sketch's acquireForLcd() and acquireForSd() are arbitrating. example.txt ships on the card; right-click the board to add your own.
XIAO 1.47" Touch Display: battery statusSeeed's battery demo on the biggest panel: the same circuit as the other two boards - the cell through the module's divider, the charger's status line - drawn large. It starts on USB PWR; drag the battery slider down and watch the sketch decide a cell is really there.
XIAO 1.47" Touch Display: Electronic QuicksandSeeed's IMU demo on the largest of the three grids: a few hundred grains falling towards whichever way the board is tilted, from the on-board LSM6DS3TR-C. Press Sensors on the canvas toolbar, drag the Tilt pad.
XIAO 1.47" Touch Display: the panel demoSeeed's LCD demo for this board: full-screen colour flashes first - which make a wiring or colour-order problem obvious at a glance - then eight colour bands, then a static screen with text, rounded frames and the panel's own bounds.
XIAO 1.47" Touch Display: LCD-only diagnosticSeeed's quickest check for this board, and the shortest sketch of the set: one screen with a rounded blue card and red, green and blue bars under it. If this draws, the SPI bus, the chip selects, the driver and the colour order are all right.

Frequently asked questions
- How does touch work in the simulator?
- A click or drag on the glass is reported by the emulated touch controller over I2C, exactly as the panel does, so touch UIs written with Seeed_GFX2 react.
- Where do the microSD files come from?
- The card holds your project's files automatically; add your own from the SD Card panel and read them from the sketch.
- What is not modelled on the 1.47" touch board?
- The PDM microphone and the nRF52840's Bluetooth radio.
- Is the XIAO 1.47" IPS Touch Display simulator free?
- Yes. The XIAO 1.47" IPS Touch Display runs on the free plan: open the editor, place the board and press Run. No install and no account are needed, and Velxio's editor and simulator core are open source under the GNU AGPLv3.
- Which languages can I use on the XIAO 1.47" IPS Touch Display?
- Arduino C++. The language is switched from the toolbar; the circuit on the canvas stays the same.
